DIY Short Protectors

Wrap a straw in electrical tape, cut to 1" to 1.5" lengths. Place each piece over the metal tabs that are in the area for usually reading with an OBD plug. THEN attach your alligator clips to the right spots (#1 an #12 for mine). There will be no way for you to short anything out because everything is protected from being accidentally bumped.
